On this day, two years ago, the Zionist State of Israel escalated its seven-decade-long occupation and US-backed genocidal campaign against Palestinians.

In just two years, Israel has displaced approximately 1.9 million Palestinians and has killed more than 60,000 civilians — many of them women and children — through relentless bombings, mass shootings and deliberate starvation, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Since the blockade on humanitarian aid began this year, Gaza has teetered on the brink of famine, with over 500,000 people facing catastrophic hunger, according to the World Food Programme.
Israel has not only been murdering tens of thousands of civilians — it has also been killing press freedom. In the past two years, over 270 journalists covering the genocide have been murdered, making Gaza the deadliest place in the world for journalists and media workers, according to Al Jazeera.
Within two years, Israel and its imperial ally, the United States, have inflicted direct, structural and cultural violence against the Palestinian people. But Palestinians continue to resist in every form possible — through armed struggle, peaceful protests or the sheer act of survival.

Various organizations worldwide have recognized Israel’s genocide and demanded that both Israel and the US must be held accountable. The call for justice grows louder as acts of solidarity from around the world pour into the besieged Gaza, with 156 countries recognizing Palestine’s statehood.
But the Palestinian people shall only be genuinely liberated if Israel pays for its genocidal acts and the land of Palestine is rightfully returned to its people.
Until then, we shall not relent. From the four corners of international conventions to the frontlines of our streets, we will continue to pressure all who are complicit in the genocide. We will continue to condemn and demand the dismantling of the Israel-US war machine waged against the Palestinians.
Free Palestine now.
